Actress and singer Lea Michele feels better than ever thanks to a healthy diet and rigorous workouts

“I eat healthy, but I really don’t deprive myself,” says the 31-year-old actress. Lea typically starts her day with a green juice, smoothie or avocado toast, then opts for soup or a salad for lunch. “I’m always concocting recipes like a kale Caesar salad or a spinach artichoke salad,” she says. For dinner, she says she loves to cook outside on her grill. “I try to stay on the healthier side, but I’m also Italian,” says Lea, “so a great bowl of pasta is also a favorite of mine.”

EXERCISE

Lea loves getting her heart rate going with Soulcycle classes, hiking and yoga. “I work out really hard so I never feel guilty about what I eat,” she explains. Her workouts of choice are designed for the body and the mind. “I feel like Soulcycle is so inspiring and really uplifting and for me,” says the Scream Queens star. “I can’t just be going crazy in the gym — it has to be something that’s going to make my spirit feel good at the same time.”

SIMPLE SECRET

The Glee alum is a smart snacker. “I’ll slice two oranges in the morning and leave them on a dish in my kitchen and eat them throughout the day,” she says. “And I always have blueberrie­s and carrots and hummus on hand.”
