For her first American Music Awards appearance since 2014, Taylor Swift donned a mirrorball Balmain mini on the red carpet before slipping into a glittering leotard for her show- opening (and showstopping) performance of “I Did Something Bad” on Oct. 9 in LA. Later, the star added even more shine to her collection, taking home four trophies, which made her the most- decorated female artist in AMA history.

It was certainly a night to remember. But it wasn’t the most memorable, bling- filled night Taylor’s had of late. Friends of the singer are buzzing that, after over a year of dating, her actor beau, Joe Alwyn, recently popped the question with a gorgeous, vintage engagement ring. “He’s es the kind of guy who ho would’ve gone old-school and asked her parents for their permission first, then gotten down on one knee to propose,” says an insider. “It’s truly every-

thing she’s ever wanted.”

A GENUINE LOVE STORY

Taylor, 28, has known Joe, 27, was ‘ the one’ for a while now — even though she’s been uncharacteristically quiet about the relationship. The pair have been spotted canoodling everywhere from the clear waters of the Turks and Caicos Islands to an Ed Sheeran concert in London, but haven’t talked publicly about their romance. “We have been successfully very private,” says Joe, who’s refused to discuss Taylor even while promoting movies including Operation Finale and the upcoming Oscar contenders The Favourite and Boy Erased. The down- to- ea r th Brit has “really proven to Taylor that he’s not after her fame and fortune,” notes a

source. “She knows that Joe loves her for who she is.”

Now she can’t wait to make him her husband. “They’re already wedding planning,” dishes the insider. “Taylor wants her own version of Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.” So for starters, the insider believes they’ll tie the knot in Joe’s native England. “Taylor’s ideal ceremony would be held in a classic old church with an organ playing, and Taylor would love to walk down the aisle in a white gown with a long train,” says the insider. To create an extravagant dress, Taylor has a few designers on tap. “Her favorites are Prada, Elie Saab and Oscar de la Renta,” says the source. “Taylor wants to feel and look like a princess and is willing to splash out a lot of cash to achieve her goal.”

The longer the train, the more help Taylor will need navigating the aisle. Lucki ly, she’s notorious for having a huge girl squad of models, singers and actresses — and she’s already picked 12 to be bridesmaids for a future wedding. Though she hasn’t shared the entire list with pals yet, “Taylor is definitely planning to ask Selena Gomez to be one,” says the source. “They’ve been BFFS for years and have stuck by each other through all their ups and downs. Selena is one of the very few people Taylor can rely on and trust.”

WEDDING & A BABY

Of course, Joe has been added to the trustwor- thy and reliable list. Taylor’s seen one promising relationship after another go bad, but she always felt she still had to believe in love. Now that’s paid off. “Joe is everything Taylor has always dreamed of in a man,” raves the source. “They both share the same beliefs and, like Taylor, Joe is extremely family oriented, which in her eyes means that he’ll make a good husband and father.”

She’ll find out how he fares on both fronts sooner rather than later. “Taylor and Joe would both want to start the baby planning on their romantic hon- eymoon,” says the insider, who believes they’d opt for Turks and Caicos. “They’re both on the same page about being young parents, wanting to have kids before they turn 30, so they’re right on track. Everyone who knows them says they’ll make great parents, and you know that those babies will be as cute as can possibly be!”

THEY BELONG TOGETHER

Taylor once said that “being a mom full-time, doing everything for my kids, having a bunch of them” would be the only thing as thrilling as her music career. Now Joe is ready to give her that life — and more. “He still makes her heart flutter and she can’t stop smiling when they’re together,” says the insider. “Taylor honestly thought she’d never meet someone who truly gets her, but Joe is special, he loves everything about her. The wedding is going to be amazing. How could it not be? Taylor and Joe are perfect together.”
