Longtime rivals Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence try to outdo each other’s “I do”s

Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson battle it out over who will have the most memorable wedding.

It’s the happiest moment of each of their lives. But while Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence are both gearing up to walk down the aisle soon — Scarjo is engaged to Saturday Night Live comedian Colin Jost, while Jennifer’s marrying art dealer Cooke Maroney — the two blondes with catchy nicknames and successful acting careers aren’t likely to bond over a bottle of wine and brideto-be talk anytime soon.

Despite their similarities, Scarlett and Jennifer have never hit it off. And now, as they simultaneously plan weddings

in the New York area, an even bigger wedge has been driven between the leading ladies, Life & Style has exclusively learned. “They’re not exactly racing each other to the altar,” says an insider, “but I think it’s safe to say they want to outshine the other on their big days!”

WEDDING WAR

Things took a turn for the worse once J-law, 28, relocated to NYC to be with Cooke, 34, her love of a year. “It bothers Scarlett,” admits the insider, noting that the actress, 34, considers the Big Apple her and 36-year- old Colin’s turf. And, to Scarjo’s chagrin, Jennifer hasn’t exactly been a wallflower since moving. “Both women and their fiancés have been staples at restaurants and bars throughout the city and the Hamptons,” shares a source. “They have definitely been running in the same posh social circles.”

It’s all a little too close

for comfort — especially when it comes to planning their “I do”s. “Scarlett and Jen both recently viewed the same exclusive private residence in the Hamptons as a possible wedding venue,” says the source of the ladies’ new competition over the best of the best in everything bridal. “They’d never want to marry at the same place, though. I mean, what bride would want that?”

CHILLY VIBES

Certainly not Scarlett. While reps for both celebs deny they’re feuding, the Avengers star has had some of her thunder stolen by the X-men beauty over the years. Scarjo, insists the insider, “has always been a little envious of the roles Jen’s gotten over her.” Especially, notes the source, because Scarlett ( who topped Forbes’ 2018 list of highest-paid actresses; Jennifer ranked 4th) believes she’s more talented. “She’s thinks of herself as a sophisticated East Coast theater and film actress,” adds the insider, “and puts Jen in a lesser category.”

Scarlett isn’t much of a fan of Jen’s personality, either. “She feels Jennifer is a bit of a phony,” notes the insider, “and rolls her eyes over things like her falling at the Academy Awards.” To add to the tension, the two are set to play the same person — Jazz Age icon Zelda Fitzgerald — in competing biopics. Says the source, “The pressure to outdo one another is huge.”

And the same is true for their “I do”s. Though the women’s actual nups are likely to be very different — Jen is “really into” the planning process while twice- divorced Scarlett “will likely do something more modest,” says the source — they’re no doubt keeping tabs on what the other is doing. “Their weddings,” says the insider, “are just one more thing for them to compete over.”
