Almost three years after splitting from Angelina Jolie, BRAD PITT continues to quietly repair his relationship with their kids.
Brad Pitt hasn’t been seen with his brood in almost three years despite gaining joint physical custody of Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — whom ex Angelina Jolie regularly parades in front of the paparazzi. (Maddox, 17, is old enough to decide which parent he lives with.) So, what gives? The 55-year-old actor “seems to be doing what he’s got to do to privately repair his relationship with the children,” attorney Goldie Schon, who does not represent Brad, tells Life & Style. “Whereas, Angelina is trying to restore her public image.” Because while Brad has quit drinking and thrown himself into therapy since the divorce, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress, 44, appears to be taking a more meddlesome approach to their split. Last June, a judge warned Angelina that her ex-husband would be awarded primary physical custody of the children if she didn’t stop interfering in their communications. Leaked court docs stated that “not having a relationship with their father” would be “harmful” to the couple’s kids and that Angie cannot monitor their texts. The mother of six has a children’s film coming out, the highly-anticipated sequel to Disney’s Maleficent, “and [her image took a hit] when those documents came out, calling her an alienating parent,” explains Goldie. “So if we don’t like her, there’s a good chance we won’t buy a movie ticket — and I think that’s really what this is about.”
