GET ABS — WITHOUT BREAKING A SWEAT
How an innovative treatment helped ballerina Megan Fairchild tone up post-baby
Megan Fairchild is used to pushing her body to its limits. As a principal dancer in the New York City Ballet, she says, she’s required to stay in “almost Olympic shape.” And she did — until her first pregnancy, during which Megan, 35, suffered from diastasis recti, a condition which causes the abdominal muscles to separate. “I could actually feel my top abs separating,” she tells Life & Style. “I had to stop doing yoga and try not to stretch unless I really needed to.”
The condition didn’t go away. After giving birth to daughter Tullie in 2018, Megan tried to get back in shape by wearing a brace while working out — but her attempts proved discouraging. “I had already had a C-section,” she adds. “So I didn’t want to undergo [tummy tuck] surgery.” Fortunately, she found a speedy, nonsurgical (and sweat-free) solution: trusculpt Flex. The treatment stimulates muscles to firm and tone, offering results that are equivalent to having done tens of thousands of sit-ups. “It worked,” raves Megan, who headed to Dr. Gerald Imber at NYC’S Youth Corridor Clinic for the painless procedure. “And I didn’t have to spend hours in the gym!”
NO PAIN, BIG GAIN
In fact, the former Swan Lake star says she saw results after just one 45-minute session and was back in “fighting form” after four. Now, she’s balancing motherhood with her high-profile job, and looking great while doing it. Says Megan, “I feel trim and strong!”
