GIGI HADID’S loved ones beg the model not to tie the knot with ZAYN MALIK.

As Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik prepare for the September birth of their first child, the model’s family members remain skeptical of the duo’s romance

Things are moving fast for Gigi Hadid, 25, and Zayn Malik, 27. Reunited in September, the on- off couple are social distancing together with the supermodel’s family at their Pennsylvania farm — and getting ready for the arrival of their first child, a girl. “Gigi has told her loved ones that she couldn’t be happier about the pregnancy,” reveals an insider. “She says her relationship with Zayn is stronger than it’s ever been.”

In fact, as Life & Style previously reported, Zayn is expected to pop the question any day now. But not everyone is on board with the One Direction alum making Gigi an honest woman. “It’s all so sudden — especially given Gigi and Zayn’s volatile history,” acknowledges the insider, pointing to the duo’s two breakups in the last four years. “Her mom, Yolanda, is urging Gigi not to jump into anything and to wait until after the baby is born. She’s wary of Zayn, and who can blame her? She witnessed firsthand the heartache and tears he caused her daughter in the past.”

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES

Yolanda, 56, isn’t the only family member who doesn’t want Gigi to marry Zayn. And with good reason, perhaps. The singer has admitted to having his demons, previously talking about using drugs to help with his creative process and struggling with depression. But “Zayn has really pulled himself together lately,” insists the insider of the star’s new, cleaner lifestyle. “While everything seems pictureperfect now, though, the Hadids worry that five years down the line it could be a completely different story. They don’t want Gigi to feel trapped because of a ring on her finger.”

Zayn is working hard to prove the skeptics wrong. Holed up in Pennsylvania with Gigi and her sister Bella, 23, Yolanda and other members of the Hadids’ inner circle, Zayn has been an attentive father-to-be, says the insider: “Yolanda’s noticed a positive change, for sure.”

Earning him extra brownie points? Life & Style can reveal that Gigi and Zayn are naming their little girl Ans, after Yolanda’s late mother, who passed away last August. “Yolanda shed a tear of joy at hearing the news,” the insider says of the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. “She’s touched by their sweet gesture — but still isn’t giving her blessing for a wedding right now.”
