LOVELY LOCKS
Low-maintenance, naturallooking highlights take locks through this season and beyond!
Olivia Palermo’s hair colorist, Abby Haliti, breaks down the art of naturallooking highlights.
Make Sun-kissed no mistake, strands ladies: are a seasonless favorite. Wellplaced highlights are not only youthful, they can also make your face appear brighter and your locks look fuller — but can you reap the benefits without spending hours at the salon every other month? Sure can, says Olivia Palermo’s colorist, Abby Haliti, who designed a six-piece highlighting technique (originally created for Olivia) that is an undemanding “perfect little pick-me-up” for hair. “The process of how it’s done is by painting two strokes by each of the cheekbones and one stroke at the corners of both eyes, totaling six strokes,” explains Haliti to Life & Style. “The highlights lay softly around the hairline and frame the face beautifully — and This work balayage on anyone!” hair-painting Another technique plus: doesn’t leave behind any harsh lines of demarcation, so color continues to look blended and natural as it grows out. “And since application doesn’t start at the root,” adds Haliti, “it’s very low-maintenance — which people appreciate during quarantine because it requires fewer salon visits.” Consider us sold!
