A year after falling in love on set, Ana de Armas is set to become Ben Affleck’s wife

lnsiders are whispering that Ben Affleck got down on one knee — and girlfriend Ana de Armas said yes!

What a way to celebrate an anniversary! One year after they met and fell in love on the New Orleans set of the thriller Deep Water, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas were back in the place where it all began for reshoots. Between takes on Nov. 19, the pair were spotted embracing on a balcony — and the chemistry was palpable. “They had been separated while they both worked on different projects,” says an insider. “It was obvious they missed each other.”

And that wasn’t the only thing that was obvious. As Ana, 32, cuddled with Ben, 48, onlookers couldn’t help but notice the enormous rock on her left ring finger. While some believed the bauble was simply a prop for the movie, the insider insists that a proposal has happened. “Ben did it on the anniversary of their first date, in the privacy of their hotel room. It was really romantic,” the insider claims. “Of course she said yes!”

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

Though they’re keeping the news on the down-low for now, says the insider, Ana is already thinking about the wedding, which she wants to hold in her native Cuba, once COVID19 restrictions are lifted and it’s safe to hold large gatherings. “At the moment, she can’t decide whether to get married on the beach or in Old Havana,” details the insider, “but she wants to arrive in a vintage car and wear a white, lace dress.” Ben is willing to go along with whatever his fiancée comes up with. Says the insider, “He’s definitely ready to make Ana his wife.”
