After years of feuding, Leann Rimes and Brandi Glanville form a surprising friendship
Why Brandi Glanville and Leann Rimes have finally chosen to bury the hatchet after years of feuding.
For years, it seemed as though they’d never be on speaking terms. But on April 15, Brandi Glanville, Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian exited LA’S El Segreto — where they’d been celebrating the 14th birthday of Brandi and Eddie’s youngest son, Jake — looking like a blended but solid family. Brandi’s new boyfriend, Gary Grant, was even there. “Nobody’s fighting, nobody’s doing anything weird,” says Brandi of her current relationship with exhusband Eddie and his other womanturned-wife of 10 years. “The kids are happy, and that’s all that matters.”
Indeed, their mutual love for Jake and his older brother, Mason, 17, has spawned an unlikely friendship between onetime enemies Brandi, 48, and Leann, 38 — who are telling friends they’ve finally buried the hatchet in the name of healing their family. “After endless catfights, the ladies have put their claws away and called a truce for the boys’ sake,” says an insider. “Brandi’s done a lot of self-reflecting, and acknowledges that being spiteful toward Leann wasn’t getting her anywhere. And while Leann has no regrets about marrying Eddie, she never meant to hurt Brandi, and looking back, thinks she could’ve been kinder.
They’ve both genuinely apologized to each other.”
FROM ENEMIES TO BUDDIES
They’ve certainly come a long way since 2008. Eddie, 47, left Brandi after falling for Leann on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights — and his bitter ex proceeded to trash Leann repeatedly on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as well as on Twitter, accusing her of destroying her family. “I hate that people got hurt,” the singer somewhat callously responded. “But I don’t regret the outcome.” In 2018, though, the women had a lengthy heart-to-heart, and decided to be more civil for the kids’ sake. “It was hours of conversation,” Brandi Yet it was necessary. And as the boys have gotten older, Brandi and Leann’s tentative truce has blossomed into an unlikely friendship, with Brandi posting a Christmas picture of just the two of them, praising Leann for winning The Masked Singer. According to the insider, the fashion- and makeup-loving pair also now enjoy regular pampering days together. “We’re, like, girly girls,” says Brandi. “We talk about everything.”
