As they near their third anniversary, Justin and Hailey Bieber seemingly have something more to celebrate
The caption was short, sweet...and surprising! Beside a romantic pic of his wife, Hailey, and himself on Instagram in late July, Justin Bieber wrote, simply, “mom and dad.” Naturally, fans assumed Justin, 27, was announcing some very good news — that is, until Hailey, 24, entered the comments section. “I think u should maybe change this caption to *Dog Mom and Dad*,” she said, “before anyone gets it twisted.”
But it looks as though Justin’s original words weren’t as misleading as she’d like fans to believe. In recent weeks, model Hailey has been spotted sporting what appears to be a baby bump, including during a recent dreamy getaway to Santa Barbara, Calif., with her husband of nearly three years.
“Friends are buzzing that she’s in the early stages of pregnancy,” reveals an insider. “Justin and Hailey are beyond excited to become parents. She just wants to be sure to announce it when the time is right. But their kid is going to be so loved — and absolutely gorgeous!”
MAKING BIG PLANS
They probably won’t be able to keep the good news under wraps for long. According to the insider, Hailey has been covering up her burgeoning belly by wearing “baggy clothes” when she’s around pals or in public. But some telltale pregnancy signs have been harder to hide. “She’s been having strange food cravings,” the insider says. “Like, for spicy foods and, weirdly enough, ice.”
Justin, of course, has been catering to her every need. “He’s overjoyed,” the insider shares of the doting dad-to-be, who once said he’s “going to have as many [kids] as Hailey is willing to push out.” “He’s wanted to be a father since before they got married, but he really thinks a baby couldn’t come at a better time than now. He wanted Hailey to be able to do all the things she wanted in her career and otherwise before starting a family, and at this moment, they’re very much on the same page.”
Already, Hailey and Justin have started making lists of baby names. “They’ve picked out some unique ones, but they don’t want to tell a soul because they’re afraid someone might steal them,” the insider says, adding that while they’ve also begun plans for a nursery, they can’t quite agree on the design. “Hailey wants it to be neutral — she likes the colors cream and gray. But Justin wants a jungle theme!”
THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT
On Sept. 13, they’ll mark their third wedding anniversary with seemingly more reason to celebrate. “Three years isn’t that long of a time, but they’re ready to start this next chapter of their lives,” the insider adds of Hailey and Justin. “Raising a family together was their No. 1 reason for getting married. And it’s time.”
