Dr. Ruwanthi Campano
Ruwanthi Campano, MD is a board-certified otorhinolaryngology, head and neck, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She trained and worked in the San Francisco Bay area for about 10 years until she headed down to SoCal and set up practice in the Antelope Valley.
What is a facial plastic surgeon? Dr Campano not only trained in head and neck surgery (oncology, cancer within this region), but also did additional training in facial plastic surgery.
With over 20 years of experience, she has extensive knowledge of the intricate anatomy of the head and neck region of the body. From this, she is able to analyze the face from a different perspective, a surgeon’s perspective.
Dr Campano did not just take a class to learn how to perform these procedures, rather she has been teaching these classes for people to learn how to inject Botox, fillers and how to do laser treatments. From these minimally invasive treatments, Dr Campano’s expertise extends to actually performing surgeries such as face and neck lifts, rhinoplasty, eyelifts, otoplasty, and more.
As a woman around the age of 50, she understands what it feels like to age. Both men and women alike enjoy her vibrant personality and her gentle touch. Dr. Campano’s philosophy is to try to look like yourself, only better. She tries to bring some of the San Francisco beauty aesthetic with her, which is natural beauty.
This natural look is what she tries to achieve with her patients. If you want to look like you have had “work” done, please go to Beverly Hills or to Orange County. However, if you want to rejuvenate yourself and look the best you that you can be, please give Dr Campano a call for a free cosmetic consultation at 661-726-6277. All invasive procedures are performed by Dr Campano herself and not by an assistant.

Q: Dr. Helm, would you explain the difference between traditional cataract surgery and laser cataract surgery?
Dr. Helm: Traditional cataract surgery involves the use of metal or diamond blades to make incisions through the cornea to access the cataract. A puncture is then made in the front side of the capsule that surrounds the cataract and forceps are used to tear a circular opening through which an ultrasound probe is passed and used to break up the cataract.
