Lisa Ferrero High school: Lodi Sport: Golf Professional: LPGA
Ferrero, aiming to get her LPGA full-time exemption back after losing it last year, carded an even-par 72 to tie for 14th after the first round of the LPGA Tour Q-School on the Jones Course at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.The top 20 in the five-day tournament will get their LPGA card.
Kat Tudor High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Basketball College: Oregon State
Tudor, a freshman guard, was 2-for-2 on 3pointers for six points during OSU’s 74-73 loss to Marquette on Nov. 22.
Victoria Schallberger High school: Tokay Sport: Basketball College: Talladega
Schallberger and her Tornadoes (ranked 21 in the NAIA) entered play in the Jackson Rotary Tournament on Friday with a loss to Great Falls, with Schallberger scoring two points with a steal, and assist and three rebounds. Against Montana State-Northern, Schallberger had three points, a steal, two assists and two rebounds.
Mike Meserole High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College: Cal Maritime
Meserole, a junior, had a busy week, with five points and two assists in a win over Oregon Tech, two points and three assists in a loss to Claremont McKenna, two assists and two rebounds in a loss to Pomona Pitzer and 10 points in a loss to William Jessup.
Evan Madill High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Basketball College: Cal Maritime
Madill, a freshman guard, had two rebounds against Oregon Tech and three points against Pomona Pitzer.
Alyssa Dettloff High school: Lodi Sport: Volleyball College:Delta
Dettloff, a sophomore opposite hitter, had four kills, a block and a dig in a first-round playoff loss to Folsom Lake on Nov. 22.
Talia Piombo High school: Lodi Sport: Soccer College: Cosumnes River
Piombo, a sophomore defender, started on the back line in a 2-0 loss to Folsom Lake in the second round of the CCCAA playoffs.
Lee Reed High school: Tokay Sport: Football College: American River
Reed, a freshman receiver, caught two passes for negative yardage during American River’s 15-9 win over Butte College in the NorCal Championship. Reed and his Beavers will play against Fullerton for the state championship at 1 p.m. on Dec. 10 in Yorba Linda.
David Lerma High school: Elliot Sport: Basketball College:Delta
Lerma, a sophomore guard, had 15 points and two rebounds in an 80-68 loss to Canada on Nov. 22.
DeAndre Stallings High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College:Columbia
Stallings, a sophomore forward, had five points and nine rebounds in a 69-53 loss to Butte on Saturday.
Jordan Windley High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Basketball College:Columbia
Windley, a freshman guard, had eight points, two assists and two rebounds in the loss to Butte.
