THOMAS “TOM” PATTERSON

August 19, 1939 – November 29, 2016

Thomas “Tom” George Patterson, 77 of Greeley, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Greeley. He was born in West Sacramento, CA to Everett and Mildred (Benn) Patterson where he grew up and attended school.

He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard prior to graduating from Sacramento City Community College.

Tom married Valerie Diane Brown in Sacramento in 1960, sharing 56 years together, long-time resident’s of Lodi and settling in Greeley, CO after their travels.He worked with the Sheet Metal Workers Union, receiving his 30 year membership before retiring. They enjoyed RV’ing during their retirement years, traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada. He also loved to golf and pen crossword puzzles.

Tom was a member of the Elks Lodge and volunteered 15 years for the Lions Club which he served as its President for one term in Lodi, CA.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie of Greeley; daughters, Diane of Peyton, CO and Jeanne (Russell Jr.) of Lodi, CA; 5 grandchildren, Jenah, Jacob, Sara, Courtney and Christian; 5 greatgrandchildren, Pearl, Myriah, Jayson, Hunter and Austin; three sisters, Joyce, Norma and Nancy all of California. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7 at the Elks Lodge 19071 N. Lower Sac Rd, Woodbridge from 1 to 4 p.m. Friends may leave condolences at adamsoncares.com.
