Lois Jane Anderson Finn passed away peacefully Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 in Lodi, CA at the age of 90. She was a wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, best friend and the center and rock of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Richard, mother Mae Anderson and father Marshall Anderson.

Lois was born on September 4, 1926 in Oakland, CA. She graduated from Albany High School in 1944, and went on to attend the University of California at Berkeley. While attending Cal she met Richard Finn at a dance. They married in Carson City, NV in 1951 and made their home in Berkeley. Later they purchased their first home in Pinole, CA. Lois worked at Cal Pac (Del Monte) as a secretary, and later on for Mass Mutual as a claims manager. The couple welcomed Kevin William in 1958 while living in Berkeley, CA, and later Jane Elizabeth in 1962 while living in Seattle WA. Lois and Richard taught their children to be kind, good listeners, and hard working. Both kids were encouraged to pursue education and all activities that interested them.

The family will remember Lois as a great mother that was kind, honest, and fun loving. She was very active with the Girl Scouts, Ygnacio Woods swim team and Little League. She was generous with her time, and often volunteered at the church, and as a classroom mom.

She was a skilled Bridge player, enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, visiting with friends and travel. Lois and Richard traveled to Europe, Mexico and Ireland several times over their retirement years.

Most of all, Lois loved being a mom to Kevin and Jane, and a grandmother to Nicholas and Mitchell.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, December 17th at 11am at St Francis of Assisi in Concord. Final resting spot will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lodi Memorial Hospital, who were so kind and loving to Lois till the end. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
