Respect the wishes of Obama, Clinton and conduct investigation

Editor: I think we should all take what Hillary Clinton said to heart as well as President Obama in reference to the concern that America should be vigilant and determined to protect USA security and safety.

Hillary and Mr. Obama have stated with conviction and 100 percent certainty that the Russians influenced American election outcomes. This is an outrage. I am also disappointed in Presidentelect Trump in treating our security as if it were not a top priority.

I think Mr. Trump should embrace what Hillary suggested and provide severe consequences to any country or persons representing an entity that is proven to have engaged in influencing the outcome of American politics and politicians elected. Therefore, I am looking forward to Trump taking the following actions once he is president.

A special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate American intelligence agencies and the evidence they collected that proves the accusations of Hillary and President Obama. Hillary and Obama should testify under oath about who provided the evidence and what specific evidence was provided. No stone should be left unturned and all CIA operatives who leaked information to American media should provide the evidence they claim they have.

The Clinton Foundation has collected hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign governments that were intended to buy favors and influence the outcome of American elections. A special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate how every penny was spent and determine exactly why so much money was inexplicably given to the Clinton slush fund by foreign governments.

All people involved with that foundation who is found to have used these funds to influence American elections should be prosecuted and charged with treason. After all, Hillary insists that America should do all it can to stop foreign governments from interfering in American business and politics.

As a tribute to what President Obama and Hillary Clinton have requested to protect our country, I call upon Mr. Trump to respect their wishes and appoint these special prosecutors to aggressively pursue and deliver justice. DARRELL BAUMBACH Acampo
