Tigers have five wrestlers in Brentwood quarterfinals
The Tokay wrestling team had five grapplers in the quarterfinals of the Lou Bronzan Invitationals at Liberty High in Brentwood, with the host school leading the team standings after the first day.
When wrestling resumes today, Tokay’s Trenton Edalgo will take on Clayton Valley’s Christian Utney at 132 pounds, Carson Wood will face Exeter’s Lupe Ayon at 138, Matt Cooper will face Northgate’s Grant Chachere at 170, Dylan Kranich will take on Durham’s Noah Poblano at 182 and Jared Zermeno will face Northgate’s Skyler Morford at 220.
GIRLS BASKETBALL Varsity Tokay 60, Galt 25
Katie Price led the Tiger with 21 points in Tuesday’s win, with nine each from Anessa Spradley, Syd Giovanonni and Yuka Nakagomi.
BOYS BASKETBALL Frosh-soph Lodi 57, Chavez 43
Justin Ozimy had 15 points and Nathan Shoup added 11 in Thursday’s victory at the Inferno.
Other scorers included Joey Padilla with nine, Justin Blake with seven, Colton Stout with six, Jason Myers with four, Luis Perez with three and David Cribb with two. Freshmen

Andreas Pappas and Ethan Bronson led the Flames with eight each in Thursday’s win, along with seven from David King, six each from Jace Haro and Richie Biegler, five from Trevor Jackson, two each from Cristian Garcia and Julius Latteri and one from Ben Graves.
