Lodi Chamber names Brad Goehring Agribusiness Person of the Year
Brad Goehring has been named the Agribusiness Person of the Year by the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce.
Goehring will be honored during the chamber’s annual meeting and celebration on Jan. 26 at Wine & Roses from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Along with Goehring, there will be awards given to: Mike Georguson as Outstanding Citizen of the Year; Lange Twins Winery as Business of the Year; Dancing Fox Winery & Brewery as Small Business of the Year; Johanne Reno as Ambassador of the Year; and Tim Aguilar as Street Faire Volunteer of the Year.
Goehring has owned and operated Goehring Vineyards, Inc., with operations in 11 Northern California counties, since 1989.
Born into a fourth-generation San Joaquin Valley farm family, Goehring has worked to cultivate their farm since the young age of 11. Goehring’s valley roots go back over 100 years. He graduated from Lodi High School, and then went on to major in business administration and minor in meat science at California State University, Chico after attending San Joaquin Delta College.
Goehring currently serves on the board of the Lodi Woodbridge Winegrape Commission and the California Association of Winegrape Growers. Recognized statewide as a leader on agricultural issues, Goehring serves as director at large for the San Joaquin County Farm Bureau, chairman of the California Farm Bureau LFB Alumni Council and is a leading authority for the California Farm Bureau’s work on the Clean Water Act.
Goehring and his wife Kristin have made their home in Clements and have three children; Lexus, Bryson, and Brielle.
