Aguilar named top Street Faire volunteer
Tim Aguilar has been named the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce’s Street Faire Volunteer of the Year.
Aguilar will be honored during the Chamber’s annual meeting and awards dinner on Thursday, Jan. 26 at Wine & Roses from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Along with Aguilar, awards will be given to Mike Georguson as Outstanding Citizen of the Year; Lange Twins Winery as Business of the Year; Dancing Fox Winery & Brewery as Small Business of the Year; Brad Goehring as Agribusiness Person of the Year; and Johanne Reno as Ambassador of the Year.
The Street Faire award is given annually to a deserving volunteer for the Chamber’s Lodi Street Faire that takes place in May and October. With up to 500 vendors and tens of thousands of attendees, The Lodi Street Faire is the largest one-day street fair in Northern California.
Aguilar has been living in Lodi for 11 years and has been involved with volunteering at The Lodi Street Faire for 10. He first started his volunteering with the Street Faire by working the drink booths, and he then started to put in more hours — working from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. doing doughnut delivery and driving carts as a taxi service for Street Faire workers.
Aguilar’s full-time job is as a property management and real estate agent with Grupe Property Services.
