Lodi High’s girls soccer team suffered its first blemish in Tri-City Athletic League play with Friday’s 1-1 tie at West after scoring in the first five minutes.

Shaina Hummel scored on an Ally Bender corner that pinballed among traffic before Hummel got to it. West responded about 15 minutes later on a ricochet from a Shelby Hand goalkeeper save.

Emily Souza played a solid game, and Abby Gritch made contributions off the bench. Although Lodi loses out on two points in the standings, Tracy and St. Mary’s also tied, making for a tight race in the league.

Katie Price had four saves for Tokay, but the Tigers came up empty on the other side of the field in Friday’s TCAL loss.
