Unhappy with the president

- FRED DANIELSON letters@lodinews.com.

Editor: This is the first time that a president who won the election has obsessed over the size of his inaugural crowd or the popular vote that he did not win. Clearly the man is mentally unstable. Now he has directed an ill conceived ban based upon religious belief on entrants to the United States. He has named several countries on whose people the ban is imposed, including refugees fleeing terrorism. This is all under the guise of preventing “terrorist acts” in the U.S.

Please note that none of the terrorist acts in the U.S. from and including 9/11 have been done by people from those countries, and none have been perpetrated by either refugees or illegal immigrants. This ban is useless and demeaning to the entire United States.

As an American, my symbol of the United States is the Statue of Liberty, not barbed wire! I am embarrassed and ashamed that a man like Donald Trump is now the President of the United States
