Computer classes at the Lodi Public Library
The Lodi Public Library will hold the following computer classes:
• Microsoft Word:
Participants will learn how to create and edit many types of Word documents. Basic computer skills are required.
All classes are free and require advance registration. They will be held in the library’s Computer Learning Center, 201 W. Locust St., Lodi.

AAUW Bunco party to raise funds for scholarships
Lodi Branch AAUW (American Association of University Women) will host its sixth Annual Bunco Party on March 11 at Vinewood Community Church from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
The party will feature Bunco, prizes, vendors, desserts and gift basket raffle.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased from any AAUW member prior to the event. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Vinewood Community Church is located at 1900 W. Vine Street in Lodi.
Proceeds will fund scholarships both for Tech Trek (The AAUW Summer Science and Math Camp), and for Lodi Unified School District graduating senior girls who are pursuing higher education.
Freedom from smoking classes to begin today
Residents who are looking to quit smoking can attend, “Share the Air” a series of smoking cessation classes beginning tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Life Line Centers of California Inc, 856 N. Sacramento St., Ste. H.
There will be no guilt and no pressure. The class will be facilitated by Mindi Anderson and will run on March 7, 14, 21, 23, 28 and 30.
The cost is $75 per session. Medi-Cal/Medicare, health insurance, FSA and HSA reimbursement is available.

Free summer vegetable garden workshop
Delta Tree Farms Nursery will be offering a free workshop “Planning Your Summer Vegetable Garden” presented by UC San Joaquin Master Gardeners on Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Refreshments, a raffle and a 10 percent off coupon for vegetables and blueberries will be available for participants on the day of the event.

Tuesday Tunes at the Lodi Public Library
Visit the Lodi Public Library on Tuesday, March 7 for Tuesday Tunes at the Library from 6 to 8 p.m.
This month’s musician will be Dr. Bob Howen, a local physician, who plays guitar featuring popular 70s music.
Enjoy the music while using the library, or sit for a while in the magazine area to listen.
