While holding the hand of her beloved husband of 64 years, Evered, Bernadine K. Mason, 93, passed on to be with Our Lord on March 1, 2017. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Bernie was born, raised, and graduated school in Arlington, Washington. After college, she moved to the San Marin area, where she met, fell in love with and married a bull rider, Evered “Red” Mason. They moved to a ranch in Galt in 1955, where she lived her life. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, donating her time to her children’s school, transcribi­ng printed literature to Braille, working at her church, chasing her grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren and just spending time on her ranch.

Bernie is survived by her husband, Evered “Red” Mason, sons, Edward (Sherry) and Robert; her grandchild­ren, Eddie Mason and Jennifer Moore (Kris); her great grandchild­ren, Kristopher and Gunner Moore, and her dog Patches.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 604 E St., Galt, CA, on Thursday, March 9th, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and Hospice of San Joaquin.
