Volunteers are needed for Computer Learning Center

- Literacy@lodi.gov. sacramento-ca.aauw.net.

The Lodi Public Library offers free computer classes and one-on-one coaching in its Computer Learning Center (CLC), managed and staffed entirely by volunteers. The CLC is currently in need of additional volunteers in order to provide its services whenever the library is open. Visitors to the CLC usually require help at a basic level, so just about anyone with average p.c. skills can do the job.

This is a perfect opportunity, for example, for a retiree with time on his or her hands to make good use of the computerrelated training and experience gained on the job. You can provide a major service to the community by giving back some of that knowledge to those who have a critical need in order to get their own job, or who may need elementary computer skills for any number of other reasons.

If you can devote about three hours on one day per week to this vital service, the library would love to hear from you. Call 209-333-5554 or send an email inquiry to kidney health. Information on diet, insurance, modality choices and coping with CKD will be available. The class is free and open to the public. For more information or to register, call Cindy Harrison, CNN, R.N., at 209-333-8909.
