TIMOTHY JOHN ERGONIS

-

1986 – 2017

Timothy John Ergonis, “Uncle Timmy,” peacefully passed into heaven on March 3, 2017. He was born on October 19, 1986, in Castro Valley, California, then moved to Woodbridge where his family planted its roots for the next 30 years. Growing up in a close-knit family, the youngest of 5 children, Timmy’s mischievous, goofy and sweet personality was an integral part of the lively household. He was the cute little Timmy whom everyone loved to baby. Timmy was an artist from the beginning. As a young child, his talent in drawing and painting began to shine, and only continued to flourish throughout the years. He enjoyed playing on the basketball and baseball teams at Lodi High when he wasn’t busy studying to keep his academics up at the top of his class. After graduating Lodi High in 2005, he continued his education at UC Davis where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics. After college, he explored career paths and had the opportunity to take a solo backpacking trip throughout Taiwan, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand for nearly a year. It was through his photography and experimentation in various mediums of art while traveling that he realized he wanted to translate his passion into a career. He returned home to Lodi, substitute teaching and working vigorously toward his master’s degree in art education with the goal to become a collegelevel art instructor. Timmy was passionate about art, photography and travel, but most of all, loved spending time with his siblings and 10 nieces and nephews. From cheering them on at sporting events and goofing off around the house, to simply smothering them with attention and unending love, he showered them with an allencompassing devotion.

Timmy is survived by his grandmother Margaret Ergonis, parents Fred and Vicki Ergonis, uncles Joe Ergonis (Linda) and Resty Ergonis, aunt Priscilla Anderson, cousins Donn Murdock and Sara Murdock, siblings Rob Ergonis (Vy), Jenni Nino (Carlos), Jolie Zins (George), and Megan Galarneau (James), and adoring nieces and nephews Gabriel, Emmrie, Elle, Ezra, Georgie, Stella, Quinn, Benny, Juliette, and Olivia.

“When we lose someone we love, we gain an angel we know” – Timmy, you are so loved.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 1:00pm at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery, Highway 99 at Harney Lane (not Industrial Way), followed by a celebration of his life at the Ergonis residence in Woodbridge.
