Goldie is an approximately 2year-old, spayed orange and white tabby. This very affectionate girl was adopted from PALS when she was 6 months old, but was recently returned to PALS due to a family member developing an allergy to cats.

Despite having her life upended, Goldie seems to be taking everything in stride, and she has been extremely affectionate with every volunteer that she interacts with. She loves to be held and scratched behind her ears, and you’ll always know how much she appreciates the attention as she purrs her heart out and nuzzles you under your chin. She’s used to being an only cat, so it has been a bit of an adjustment for her to be around other cats, but she’s slowly coming around to the idea of sharing her space with others.

If you’d like to give this sweetheart of a cat a second chance at a forever home, please come in and meet her!

For more information, call PALS at 209-224-0354. To meet other cats and dogs available for adoption, stop by the PALS Adoption Center at 1405 W. Kettleman Lane, next to the Lodi Animal Shelter. Center hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday.

••• King is a foster favorite! He is a loving, adorable, affectionate and peace-seeking cat. If his foster was able, he would live out the rest of his life snuggling up and being loved with his foster family. King — his full given name from his original owner was King Fosgate — came to Second Chance Kitty about a year ago. He had an upper respiratory infection and was treated accordingly.

King has been nothing short of a joy to have around and gets along well with everyone. He’s an awesome Netflix buddy — he never complains or argues about what to watch, won’t hog the popcorn or steal your soda. He’ll be a smidgen shy until he knows you, but once he does, you will find him at your side each time you sit down.

King would love a family who is home all the time and loves to have a snuggle bug with them. King wants to find a home for the rest of his life and is looking forward to stability and consistency. Ideally a calm homebody environment would have King thriving, comfortable and at ease. King is strictly indoor only. He eats a quality low- to no-grain food and is looking for a lifetime commitment from an adoptive family.

King is neutered, and has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and deflead. He is FeLV/FIV negative, and has been litter box trained.

••• Bailey is a nearly 12-year-old chocolate dachshund and weighs about 20 pounds. Bella is 11 years old and weighs 8 to 10 pounds. Their family was unable to keep the pair of lifelong friends. Fortunately, a wonderful family member was able to take them in until a home can be found.

Both Bailey and Bella are neutered and their vaccinations will be updated; they will also receive a complete physical to confirm their good health. They sleep in a crate, get along great with other dogs and love the kids in the home.

Bailey is a chowhound and has actually stolen food off of the dinner table. He is very playful, gentle and affectionate. He is sweet and rambunctious, and loves to be around other dogs and people. Bella is a well-mannered lap dog. She loves to snuggle and cuddle, she is a very sweet and affectionate dog. Bailey and Bella get along with caged birds, cats and farm animals, ride well in the car and will be wonderful companions. Photography compliments of 4pawspetphotography.
