Maya is an approximately 21⁄2year old, spayed lilac calico. She was rescued by PALS late last year, along with her three kittens. Maya was such an awesome mom, not only did she dote on her own kittens, but, she even became a surrogate mom to another kitten that PALS rescued who was in desperate need of a mother’s love and attention.

Maya is a very friendly and outgoing cat, and she loves to be around people; she’s super loving and enjoys being the center of attention. She has a spunky side, and she loves exploring new surroundings, finding the highest point she can in each room and watching the goings-on around her. Most of all, though, Maya likes to find a nice comfortable spot to curl up in for a nice nap and some afternoon rays. If this sweetheart of a cat sounds like the perfect fit for your home, please come in and meet her!

For more information, call PALS at 209-224-0354. To meet other cats and dogs available for adoption, stop by the PALS Adoption Center at 1405 W. Kettleman Lane, next to the Lodi Animal Shelter. Center hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday.

••• Meet Regis, also known as Puss Puss. Regis is an approximately 8year-old ragdoll and weighs about 15 pounds. He is sweet, tolerating both dogs and cats and becoming friendly with proper introduction time.

Regis is a talker and loves to tell you all about the lazy day he’s had. He will require a home where cat hair is not forbidden, and his soft coat requires regular maintenance brushing. He loves to climb cat trees and eat Temptation Tuna Treats.

Regis was adopted two years ago, but his family brought him to Second Chance Kitty when their child developed some serious allergies. Regis is a bundle of fun and loves children.

Regis is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, deflead, FeLV/FIV tested negative and litter box trained.

••• Bella is a dachshund mix with very pretty markings. She weighs 13 pounds and is 16 months old. Her vaccinations are current, and she has been spayed and microchipped.

Bella’s owner had to surrender her after some life changes. She is a very friendly little dog, and will say hello to almost everyone. She rides well in the car, and is very good on leash for her walks.

Bella gets along well with other dogs, and loves playing with her canine companions at the sanctuary. She also loves to play with toys. She is very sweet and likes to be held and give kisses.

Bella seems to be house-trained and will wait to go outside. She will follow you all over and loves to be held. Bella will be a wonderful, loving companion.
