Computer classes at the Lodi Public Library
The Lodi Public Library will hold the following free computer classes starting April 24:
• Microsoft Word: Tabs, Tables and Forms: 9 a.m. April 24 and 25, and May 1 and 2. Participants will learn advanced productivity skills in Word. They should have already taken the library’s Microsoft Word course.
• Find It on the Internet: Noon April 25. Participants will learn how to find information online. They should know basic computer skills like using a mouse and a keyboard.

Delta Tree Farms Nursery rose care workshop
Delta Tree Farms Nursery will host a free workshop on Saturday. Roses 101: Caring For Your Fabulous Flowering Roses will be presented by the Lodi/Woodbridge Rosarians. Refreshments will be available, and there will be a rose bush raffle plus 10 percent off of all roses for workshop participants. Connect 4 Success– Delta College Tour
Delta Sierra Regional Alliance (Adult Education Block Grant) will host the Connect 4 Success–Delta College Tour for adult school students on April 28. Activities will start at 9 a.m. in Danner Hall, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton.
Delta College is collaborating with adult school partners to improve adult school learner success by creating integrated educational pathways. The tour is a key strategy to increase students’ awareness of their educational and career training options at Delta College. Participants will also hear from successful students and have the opportunity to partake in a Delta College application workshop. Lunch will be provided.
Ladies Bible study at First Baptist Church
The Ladies Bible Study group at First Baptist Church will begin its next session on the book of Philippians on Monday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, in room 6 at First Baptist Church, 267 N. Mills Ave.
The five-week class and will conclude the last Monday in May.

County food surplus distribution
Low-income residents of San Joaquin County will be able to obtain free government-surplus food on Thursday in Lodi from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Lodi Community Center, 415 Sacramento St., for those living in zip codes 95240, 95241, 95242, 95220, and 95632.; in Lockeford from 9 a.m. to noon at Adventist Community Service, 19990 Elliott Road, for those living in zip codes 95227, 95237, 95253 and 95254; in Woodbridge from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 673 Woodbridge Road, for those living in zip code 95258; and in Thornton from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at New Hope School, 26675 N. Sacramento Blvd., for those living in zip code 95686.
