Eye on Verizon

Verizon Communications’ latest quarterly results may provide insight into the company’s plans for its Yahoo business.

The telecom giant is scheduled to complete its $4.5 billion acquisition of Yahoo in June. Verizon hopes Yahoo’s huge user base will help it build out a digital advertising arm as the wireless business gets tougher. Verizon releases its first-quarter earnings today.
