Earthkeepers to host Earth Day cleanup
The Earthkeepers, a club at Heritage Elementary School devoted to caring for the planet and keeping the school grounds clean, will host an Earth Day Celebration this Saturday along with the Lodi Community Garden Foundation.
Lodi residents are invited to come out and support the Earthkeepers as they clean up an alley behind Heritage School, between Garfield Street and Cherokee Lane.
If enough people come out to help, the group will also tackle cleanup projects of other areas near the school.
Lodians who attend are asked to bring gloves, tools such as shovels, brooms and rakes, and a smile. Closed-toe shoes are also recommended.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. Heritage School is located at 509 Eden St., Lodi. excellence among students of all ability levels. The five-subject areas are language, fine arts, science, math, and social studies.
Plant sale at Tokay High
The Tokay High agriculture department’s ornamental horticulture class is hosting its annual plant sale beginning at the school greenhouse.
Students will be selling a variety of succulents, colored flowers, arrangements, house plants and vegetables.

Blood drive at Tokay High
Tokay High will be holding a blood drive next Tuesday in the school gym from 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. All donors will receive a free T-shirt. Sign-ups and permission slips are available at the school in room IA14.
‘Sound of Music’ at Lodi High
