MONTE KURT SEIBEL

June 25th, 1939 – April 11, 2017

Monte Seibel entered Heaven on April 11th, after a valiant fight against cancer. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Monte was born in Fresno to Eli and Thelma Seibel. The family moved shortly thereafter to Lodi, where Monte attended local schools, later graduating from Galt High School in 1957.

Monte married his high school sweetheart, Sharron Holloway on May 2nd, 1958. They had two sons, Michael and Mark.

Monte had a unique sense of humor. He enjoyed the company and conversations of everyone. He was generous in all aspects of his life.He was a renowned professional land surveyor, owning his own business from 1972 until his death. He was also an engineer with caltrans, who retired after 40 years of service.

He was a man of great faith, placing his trust in Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Temple Baptist Church. Monte lived his life as an example of his faith.

He is survived by; his wife Sharron Seibel, his sons, Michael Seibel of Colorado Springs, and Mark Seibel and wife Susan of Lodi, brother Darrel Seibel and wife Judy of Redding, two grandsons, Geoffrey Seibel and wife Ashley, Eric Seibel and wife Paula, two step granddaughters, Melissa Yatteau and husband Michael, Jennifer Wallmark and husband Daniel, and four great-grandchildren.

His memorial service will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road in Lodi, CA, on Saturday, April 29th at 11:00am. A luncheon will be provided following the service.
