Kentucky Derby West fundraiser for Hospice

Hospice of San Joaquin Butterfly Auxiliary of Lodi is presenting its fourth annual Kentucky Derby West on Saturday, May 6.

Held at the Sargent Equestrian Center, guests will watch a live viewing on a jumbo-sized screen of the Kentucky Derby followed by dinner and dessert in the Grandstand Terrace.

Guests will enjoy mint juleps, wine and food samplings, a carriage driving derby, live and silent auctions, and bourbon and cigars in the Jockey Locker.

All proceeds benefit Hospice House.

NAMI San Joaquin County will hold its monthly general membership meeting on Thursday.

The guest speaker will be the Honorable Richard Vlavianos, Superior Court judge of San Joaquin County. Judge Vlavianos is in charge of the Mental Health Court. He will discuss insights and issues he sees with respect to mental health clients and those dealing with substance abuse.

There is no charge for this event and it is open to the public.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 4 in conference room A at San Joaquin County Mental Health Services, 1212 N. California St., Stockton.

Keller Williams Realty hosts annual Red Day

Keller Williams Realty is teaming up with Lodi’s Pregnancy Resource Center for a day of community service on May 11.

The realty company is currently raising $12,000 for a mobile ultrasound unit for the pregnancy center. On Saturday, however, projects will focus on giving the center a “much-needed facelift,” including interior painting, new signage, moving a new table and chairs into the conference room, landscapin­g projects, and more.
