Zach Phillips

High school: Galt Sport: Baseball Profession­al: Memphis Redbird (Cardinals AAA) Phillips, a left-handed reliever, had a pair of rough outing recently, allowing four runs on five hits in a 12-9 win over Omaha on Thursday, then taking the loss in a 3-1 loss to Iowa, with two runs allowed.

Mitch Walding

High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball Profession­al: Reading Fightin’ Phils (Phillies AA) Walding, a left-hitting third baseman, had a single, a walk, an RBI and two runs in a 13-8 win over Portland, then hit a solo home run in Monday’s 2-1 win over Bowie.

Gio Brusa

High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball Profession­al: San Jose Giants (Giants A-Adv.)

Brusa, an outfielder, went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run in an 11-7 win over Modesto last Tuesday, an had a single with a run in a 5-0 win over Stockton on Sunday.

Bryce Graddy

High school: Tokay Sport: Baseball College: Cal Poly-Pomona Graddy went 2-for-4 with a run in Saturday’s 8-4 win over San Francisco State.

Jessica Hartwell

High school: Liberty Ranch Sport: Softball

College: Texas Tech Hartwell had three home runs in six games in the past week, one each in three days of doublehead­ers. She started with a triple in loss to Texas-San Antonio on Wednesday, then had a home run, a single and two RBIs in another loss in the nightcap. On Saturday, she went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double in a loss to South Dakota, and also had a single and an RBI in a loss to Colorado State. The Red Raiders finished the regular season on Sunday with a sacrifice fly with an RBI in a win over South Dakota, and a 2-for-3 game with a home run, two RBIs and two runs in a loss to Colorado State.

Allie Mendez

High school: Lodi Sport: Softball College: Corban University Mendez, a senior pitcher, allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits in a 6-5 loss to Southern Oregon on Sunday in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament, then pitched 1 1/3 innings of hitless ball in the championsh­ip game the next day, a 4-1 loss to Southern Oregon.

Haley Kroll

High school: Tokay Sport: Track and field College: Chico State Kroll, a senior, placed fifth in the women’s 5,000meter run at the CCAA Championsh­ips, finishing at 17 minutes, 54.59 second and earning four points toward the Wildcats’ team championsh­ip.

Addison Gallagher

High school: Tokay Sport: Golf College: Delta Gallagher, a sophomore, shot a 1-under 71 and a 3-over 75 to place second at the CCCAA NorCal Regionals at The Reserve at Spanos Park on Monday. Gallagher will next compete at the state championsh­ips on May 15 at Cypress Ridge Country Club in Arroyo Grande.

Brett Young

High school: Lodi Sport: Baseball College: Delta Young, a sophomore outfielder, had a walk in a playoff win over Skyline on Friday, then went 2-for3 with a double, two RBIs and a run as Delta took the best-of-three series against Skyline with a 10-3 win on Saturday.

Alex Patterson

High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball College: Delta Patterson pitched 6 1/3 innings of Friday’s win, allowing two runs on six hits with 10 strikeouts.

Kaylee Buhrkuhl

High school: Elliot Sport: Softball College: Delta Buhrkuhl, the Mustangs’ leadoff hitter, went 2-for3 with an RBI and three runs as Delta opened the playoffs with a 10-6 win over San Jose, then had a single and two runs as Delta won the best-of-three series on Saturday.

Lauren Garoutte

High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: Delta Garoutte, a sophomore outfielder, had a run in the first game against San Jose, then a single in the second.

Taelor Ford

High school: Tokay Sport: Softball College: Cosumnes River Ford, a freshman third baseman, had a single and an RBI in the playoff opener, a win over Butte College, then had a single, two RBIs and a run as CRC finished off Butte 8-0 on Saturday.

Tokay Softball Cosumnes River Smith, a freshman second baseman, went 2-for-3 with a double in the first game against Butte, then had a single and a run in the second. Liberty Ranch Softball Cosumnes River Baroni, a freshman pitcher, pitched a complete game in the first win over Butte, allowing one unearned run on three hits, and pitched all five innings of the second game, scattering five hits with no runs.
