JOYCE MCCUNE

1942 — 2017

Joyce L. McCune entered eternal rest on May 27th, 2017. She was born in Benton, Arkansas on August 10, 1942. Joyce married Daniel McCune on February 5th, 1966, and had 51 years of wedded bliss. They started their journey in Monterey, they moved to Grass Valley in 1969, and then settled in Lodi in 1973. Joyce was a foster parent for 31 years and had a total of 21 children come through her home, 7 of which were adopted. She enjoyed working with the children at her local churches. When she was unable to attend church she would watch it on her computer. She was a member of 1st Pentecostal Church, renamed the Christian Life Center, in Stockton. She graduated Edison High School in 1960. After that she attended Western Apostolic Bible School, renamed Christian Life College, in 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents father Lee Vestal Sullivan. She is survived by; mother Lily Rachel Sullivan, husband Daniel McCune, children Patrick, Michael(Denise), Matthew(Nancy), Alisha, Candace, Justin, and Rose(Matthew), grandchildren; Jessica, Drucilla, Matthew, Sierra, Lleysana, Kayla,Kyle, Braden, Daniel, Danae, Hannah, Stephen, Aiden, Nathan, Scott, and Clarissa. She is also survived by two brothers, Boyce (Lela) Sullivan, Dennis (Susan) Sullivan, and sister Judy (John) Larsen. A graveside service will be held at Cherokee Memorial, Harney Lane and Hwy 99, Lodi, CA, at 10:00am, Reverend Eli Lopez officiating. Family and friends are invited to Christian Life College Student Center after burial at 9019 N, West Lane, Stockton, CA.
