YVONNE SCHILDT

A long-time resident of the Stockton/Lodi area passed away May 5, 2017. She enjoyed a marriage of 48 years with her husband, Ken, and raised their 2 children, Karen & Joan (Joni). When Ken decided to enter the ministry, she returned to work and concluded her career as Coordinator of Student Advising at the University of the Pacific. Upon retirement in 1989 she received the Order of Pacific (a faculty award for outstanding service to the University). She and Ken enjoyed gardening, sailing, yachting, and traveling in their motor home. She also was a strong leader in the Episcopal Church and a Founding member of the Lodi Omicron Omicron Chapter of Delta Theta Tau – Philanthropic Sorority. She & Ken were docents at the San Joaquin County Historical Society Museum

Yvonne is survived by her daughter Karen Trueman (Mick Durgin), grandchildren Alisa Scrafield, Chase Trueman, Jeremy Milburn (Zia), Justine LaMarche (Mario) and her son-in-law, Gary Milburn. She also has 3 great grandsons, Ryley, Bradley & Jonah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ken Schildt, and her daughter, Joni Hyerle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist. Her celebration of life will be at The Episcopal Church of St John the Baptist, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Rd. Lodi, CA 95242, June 10th at 11 a.m.
