Lodi’s Schultz to head local fall league

-

Lodi High baseball coach Hobie Schultz will be the league director of The High School Fall Baseball League that is coming to Lodi in August.

The HSFBL is open to high school baseball players who will be seniors, juniors, sophomores or freshmen for the 2017-18 school year. There will be two divisions; varsity that includes seniors, juniors and any underclassmen with varsity playing experience during this past season, and the JV division that features sophomores and incoming freshmen.

Schultz and his Lodi assistant coaches will oversee players who play for a Sac-Joaquin Section high school baseball team, or incoming freshmen who will be playing high school baseball next spring. Games would be played on Sundays starting in August through the end of September, and played at Lodi High and other baseball diamonds in the area.

Registration for HSFBL runs through Monday, July 31. The early registration fee is $275. Registrations are accepted up until a week before play begins.
