Free class for landlords, property managers

A free training and informatio­nal seminar on rental housing laws for landlords and property managers will be held at the Lodi Public Library from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday.

The workshop, hosted by San Joaquin Fair Housing, will provide an overview of the rights and responsibi­lities of landlords and tenants, as well as a brief overview of state and federal laws pertaining to rental housing.

Angels Camp Museum offers art class for kids

The Angels Camp Museum is offering a nature drawing class for children ages 9 to 12 years old. No previous art experience is required, just a willingnes­s to have fun. Illustrato­r Jim Miller will guide students through a day of “Drawing Nature Step-By-Step.” The lessons will focus on developing observatio­n skills useful in sketching with pencils. Materials will be supplied.

The class will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on July 14 and July 28 at the museum, 753 S. Main St., Angels Camp. The cost is $20. Children should bring a brown bag lunch and plenty of water. To register, please call 209-736-2963 or email
