Parkinson’s disease support group meeting

A Parkinson’s disease support group meeting for patients and caregivers will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the north end of Temple Baptist Church (enter at the Tokay Street gate), 801 Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi. The Lodi Public Library will hold a Fun with Word — Flyers and Signs computer class. The course will cover how to use Word’s special formatting features to design flyers for special events. The class will be held at 9 a.m. July 3. Students should have basic computer skills.

Driver safety workshop for senior drivers

The San Joaquin Safety Council is offering a driver safety workshop for drivers 55 and older on Saturday, July 22 and Saturday, Aug. 26.

The workshop, which offers the benefits of a DMV certificat­e valid for auto insurance discounts for three years, includes informatio­n on new laws, new technologi­es, the future of driving and a study review of DMV test questions.
