ADELENE LUCILLE CATTUZZO

1931 – 2017

Adelene Lucille Cattuzzo (Addie) was born in Sacramento, CA on Feb. 19,1931. Her parents, John & Theresa Morais had a grocery store in Walnut Grove, CA. Addie attended Walnut Grove Elementary, Courtland High School and San Jose State College. She worked as a secretary for Brown & Meyer Insurance Agency, later worked at New Hope School and the Lodi Unified School District IMC.

Addie was a 4-H Project Leader, teaching Beginning, Intermediate and Foreign Cooking, Sewing and Home furnishing for 8 years. She was Turner-Ray 4-H Community Leader for 2 years, being awarded the Silver Award.

Addie was married for 64 years to Edward Cattuzzo, an elementary school principal.

Their children, Jenny Cattuzzo, Michael Cattuzzo, and Paul Cattuzzo predeceased Addie and Ed. Son Marty Cattuzzo resides in Burleson, TX and daughter Sharon Brown (Mark) resides in Weatherford, TX. Grandchildren are Nina Delagado, Angel Mitchell, Craig Pryor, Vanessa Schmoker and Michael Pryor. Great Grandchildren are Trenton, Nova, Ruger, Gabriel, Nino, Oliver, Emma, Angela and Lyndsy.

Ed and Addie resided in Rural Lodi for 50 years, attending St. Anne’s Catholic Church and working in the Outreach Program for 15 years. Addie was a member of Daughters of Isabella, YLI, UPPEC, LRW, and Holy Trinity Ladies’ Guild. She was honored with the title of UPPEC Calif. State Fraternalist of the year 1991. The Cattuzzos moved to Burleson, TX in their later years. Ed and Addie were honored to be Knights of Columbus California Family of the Year in 2003.

Friends are asked to pray for her soul, each in their own way. Addie loved her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Lodi at St. Anne’s Church on Friday July 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM. A fellowship Outreach lunch for her friends will follow the service.

Donations, in Addie’s name, are requested to go to St. Anne’s Outreach program.
