Four hurt as helicopter crash lands on L.A. street
LOS ANGELES — A small helicopter crash-landed on a San Fernando Valley street on Friday, injuring four people on board, authorities said.
The helicopter made a hard landing around noon in the Sherman Oaks area near Highway 101, according to Fire Department reports.
The aircraft did not catch fire, and nobody on the ground was hurt. Televised reports showed the helicopter on a small street in a leafy neighborhood of single-family homes. Its rotor blades appeared to be bent and yellow water-landing pontoons had been deployed.
