Zach Phillips High school: Galt Sport: Baseball Profession­al: Acereros del Norte (AAA)

Phillips, a left-handed reliever, continued his streak of scoreless appearance­s for his Mexican League team, striking out one in a hitless inning of work in Friday’s 4-3 victory over Veracruz. So far with Monclova, Phillips has allowed two hits and three walks in 12 appearance­s.

Mitch Walding High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball Profession­al: Reading Fightin’ Phils (Phillies AA)

Walding, a left-hitting third baseman, was injured in an infield collision while chasing a popup on Tuesday, and was sent to the seven-day disabled list with an ear fracture. Walding leads the Eastern League with 23 home runs this year, and hit his last one in a 2-for-4 day on Thursday. He added a single and an RBi on Sunday.

Gio Brusa High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball Profession­al: San Jose Giants (Giants A-Adv.)

Brusa, a switch-hitting outfielder, went 2-for-6 on Wednesday with a double, a single and two runs. He had a double on Tuesday and a single on Monday after a four-game stretch without a hit.

Michael Rishwain High school: St. Mary’s Sport: Baseball Profession­al: Auburn Doubledays (Nationals A-short season)

Rishwain, a right-handed reliever, had a pair of solid outings in the past week, holding Mahoning Valley to one hit in three innings of work in a 3-1 loss on Thursday, then allowing one run in an inning of a 12-4 loss to Williamspo­rt on Monday.
