Tail-waggers
Madison is an approximately 3 1 ⁄2-month-old, spayed gray kitten. She and her littermates were rescued by PALS when they were just five weeks old; they were all tiny and in need of a lot of nourishment and care. They’ve grown a lot over the past few months.
Madison is a very outgoing kitten and an absolute sweetheart who loves cuddles and curling up in a lap for long naps. After recharging her batteries with a nice long nap, Madison pulls out all of the stops for some energetic playtime, whether it’s pouncing on and rolling around with her siblings or swatting a toy mouse across the room and chasing after it.
Madison has an outgoing and sweet disposition. Within minutes of meeting Dumbledore, last week’s PALS Tailwagger, she was already curling up next to him for a nice nap in the afternoon sun.
If Madison sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please come down and meet her. For more information, call PALS at 209-224-0354. To meet other cats and dogs available for adoption, stop by the PALS Adoption Center at 1405 W. Kettleman Lane, next to the Lodi Animal Shelter. Center hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday.
••• Nelson is an approximately 8-year-old chocolate dachshund weighing 17 pounds. He came to us from a local shelter after he was dumped on their doorstep.
After some decompression time, Nelson is doing great. He likes to be right by your side and know exactly where you are at all the times. Nelson gets along great with other dogs his size. He does not seem to like larger dogs; we are unsure about cats or children. Nelson would do best in a quiet, calm older home without young children, and will do best with a retired couple or someone who works from home so he is not left alone all day.
Nelson would love nothing else but to be able to curl up on the couch with his new family and enjoy some quiet time. He loves lounging in the sun, going for walks and rides in the car.
Nelson is neutered, his vaccinations are up to date, and he has been microchipped, had a blood workup and a dental. Nelson is house-trained and uses a doggy door. He loves carrots and chicken. He will make a great companion.
