Emanuel Lutheran Church Life Discovery Bible Study

Life Discovery Bible Study is an interdenominational Bible study group that meets at Emanuel Lutheran Church on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., beginning Sept. 6.

The group will study “Seamless,” by Angie Smith, which covers major events from the Bible and ties them together into the greater story of scripture.

• Sept. 10 is Kickoff Sunday at Emanuel Lutheran Church.

This event features a potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m., bingo, a bounce house, flag football and other activities for children and youths.

• Emanuel Lutheran Church will hold a spaghetti dinner on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. to raise funds for new playground

Vinewood Preschool was established in 1987 as a Christian preschool and has served more than 1,500 students.

All past and present students and families are invited to the reunion celebration on Sept. 10 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.

The event will take place at Vinewood Church, located at 1900. W. Vine St. A reception will follow at 11 a.m. in the church gym.

Grace Presbyterian Church celebrates 60 years

A special worship service on Sunday, Sept. 24 commemorates Grace Presbyterian Church’s 60th anniversary. The service begins at 10 a.m., followed by a barbecue at 11:30 a.m. A goodwill offering will be taken to offset the cost of the meal.

A Coleman grill, valued at $400, will be raffled off at the barbecue. Tickets are $5 each, or five for $20. Proceeds will benefit the church’s New Pastor Fund.
