On August 29, 2017 George Tometti passed away peacefully. George was born in Italy on April 29, 1926. He, his mother and father arrived in the U.S.A. In 1955 and he was a resident of Lodi since then.

He worked at various jobs and then became employed at the Tower of Shoes in Sacramento. In 1966 he opened The Mystery Store in Stockton. He retired from his clothing and shoe store in 2005.

For many years he did volunteer work at St. Mary’s dining room in Stockton cooking and serving meals. He was a very caring, generous, and giving person. In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling, fishing, cooking, and gardening.

His father, Antonio Tometti and his mother, Antonia Tometti preceded him in death. He is survived by cousins in Lodi, Canada, Italy and Croatia.

He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. At his request there will be a Memorial Service at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School Street, Lodi, on Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m., burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Aid of Northern California, 105 Washington Street, Lodi, CA. 95240
