Lodi police investigate local thefts
LODI — Lodi police are investigations several cases of theft, including a robbery at Walgreens and a burglary.
Two suspects robbed the Walgreens on North Ham Lane last Thursday, according to Lt. Shad Canestrino of the Lodi Police Department.
The suspects jumped over the pharmacy counter at approximately 4:40 p.m. and forcibly demanded narcotic medications including hydrocodone and promethazine.
Although the investigation is still ongoing, Lodi police are exploring the possibility that this robbery is connected to other pharmacy robberies in the Sacramento area.
Woman arrested on suspicion of burglary
Amanda Dauber, 40, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of a burglary that took place on Aug. 24, according to Canestrino.
Police said Dauber was suspected of stealing a bicycle from a residence on the 200 block of South Lee Avenue. Although she was not armed during the burglary, the victim was home, and Dauber was known to the victim, police said.
Officer Gerald Bahr arrested Dauber on the 100 block of South Hutchins Street on suspicion of burglary.
Dauber was subsequently transferred to San Joaquin County Jail, although it is unknown at this time whether she has been released on bail.
