Leadership Lodi class begins improvements to teen center

-

Leadership Lodi’s Class of 2017 recently began the first phases of their project “Livable, Lovable OneEighty.”

The One-Eighty Teen Center received a fresh coat of paint, giving the exterior a clean, youthful vibe. The next phases include a mural on the east side of the building, improved lighting around the exterior of the building, and a range of other exterior safety upgrades.

“We are excited as a class with the progress we have made so far on The One-Eighty Center project. We will be adding the mural wall which is expected to be done this month,” project leader Nicole Bettencourt said. “We expect the painting and mural to bring a sense of pride and ownership to the center’s youth, and add culture and beautification to the city’s downtown. We hope that this project will improve the center and increase utilization by making it more welcoming to Lodi’s youth.”

Leadership Lodi is a one-year class led by the Lodi Chamber of Commerce, with 14 participants from various Lodi industries. This year’s class has chosen a project to benefit The One-Eighty Teen Center, called “Livable, Lovable OneEighty.”

The project includes upgrades to center’s exterior with fresh paint and improved safety features. The project is supported and made possible by the generosity of the Lodi community.
