ALVA DEAN PHELPS

Alva Dean Phelps, of Galt, passed away on November 3, 2017, at the age of 80. Alva was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 6, 1937, to James Alva and Marion Melice (Melton) Moran. Alva was a very loving and caring person who always had a smile on her face. After raising four boys, she worked as a veterinary receptionist in Walnut Creek, CA for 19 years, and had a special fondness for Yorkshire Terriers. Alva was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed watching Giants baseball and was a “SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS GRANDMA GAMER BABE.” She also liked arts and crafts, shopping, and Elvis Presley, who kissed her twice at a concert. Another enjoyment was going to lunch when her best friend, Colleen, would come to visit. Alva is survived by her sons, Randy Perrin, Chris Perrin, Tim Perrin, and Rick (Endy) Phelps, and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Ratto.
