GAIL ANN (MUELLER) GIBSON

-

Gail Ann (Mueller) Gibson, 69, left this world behind to spread her wings and fly up to heaven on Saturday, November 18th at 4:25 pm.

A celebration of a life well-lived and hefting a defiant middle finger to a cancer that insists on trying to steal joy will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Bismarck Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors 1 hour prior to the service.

Gail was born on July 20, 1948 to Annie (Marquart) Mueller and Alvin (Goof) Mueller in Bismarck, ND. She lived her first 6 years of life in Hazelton, ND. Gail moved to Lodi, CA as a child where she attended school and college. She spent four years in Bozeman, MT and lived her last earthly years in North Dakota.

Throughout her life Gail had different careers that ranged from being a birthday clown to owning her own cleaning business to being a care giver.

Gail befriended everyone she met. She was kindhearted and would give you the shirt off her back. She was always helping the underdog even to the point of trying to save a bad guy from security in the hospital with a blue ballpoint pen.

Gail was world-renowned for her sarcasm, dry sense of humor, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She had an overabundance of charisma, charm and feistiness. With that said she was genuine to a fault, a kitten at heart (or lion) and yet she sugar coated nothing.

Her devout feistiness and stubbornness had served her well throughout her life. And even in her waning months, she was a model of strong will and sheer determination right up until the end of her journey here on earth.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Darcy Roberts, “adopted” daughter Heather Koenig, devil cat Alvin (aka Lucifer), best friend and cousin John (Della) Welder, three brothers, Mike (Shirley) Mueller, Patrick (David) Mueller, and Rod Mueller, one sister Mary (Mike) Cato, two nieces, Amy and Jenny Mueller, three nephews, Jason Cato, Jeremy and Josh Mueller, and several friends that became family.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Annie and Alvin Mueller.

Gail was the Lorelai Gilmore to her daughter’s Rory and the two had the inseparable bond only a single parent/only child team can have. Her daughter wishes to express her condolences to everyone who didn’t have a mom as staggeringly stupendous as hers. Really, you missed out.
