Bagley, Allen help Duke slip past Indiana

BLOOMINGTO­N, Ind. — Marvin Bagley III finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds and Grayson Allen added 21 points to help No. 1 Duke get past pesky Indiana 91-81 on Wednesday night in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

It sure wasn’t easy for the Blue Devils (9-0), who needed a late 17-4 spurt to finally pull away for their first true road win of the season. Wendell Carter Jr. had 18 points and 12 rebounds.

• No. 4 Villanova 90, Penn 62 — At Villanova, Pa.: Jalen Brunson had 17 points to lead five players in double figures for Villanova.

Omari Spellman, Mikal Bridges and Phil Bridges added 14 points apiece and Donte DiVincenzo scored 12 for the Wildcats (7-0), who remained undefeated while winning their 15th straight game against Penn.

• No. 10 Miami 86, No. 12 Minnesota 81 — At Minneapoli­s: Dewan Huell scored 23 points in 27 minutes and Bruce Brown Jr. added 16 points and nine rebounds to lead Miami in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

• No. 13 North Carolina 86, Michigan 71 — At Chapel Hill, N.C.: Luke Maye scored 27 points and North Carolina shot 55 percent in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

• No. 15 Gonzaga 103, Incarnate Word 68 — At Spokane, Wash.: Rui Hachimura scored 18 points and Zach Norvell Jr. added 17 for Gonzaga.

• No. 23 TCU 87, Belmont 76 — At Fort Worth, Texas: Vladimir Brodziansk­y scored 22 points and TCU extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 12 games.

• No. 24 Alabama 77, Louisiana Tech 74 — At Tuscaloosa, Ala.: Collin Sexton made four free throws over the final 8 seconds to lift Alabama to the comefrom-behind victory.

• Stanford 70, Montana 54 — At Stanford: Reid Travis scored 20 points and Daejon Davis had 17 as Stanford snapped a four-game losing streak with a 70-54 win over Montana on Wednesday night.

Stanford led just 56-54 when it ran off the game’s final 14 points.

• UC Davis 56, N. Colorado 51 — At Davis: Chima Moneke had 17 points and 16 rebounds, and UC Davis closed the game on a 16-0 run for a 56-51 victory over Northern Colorado on Wednesday night.

TJ Shorts II added 13 points for UC Davis (4-2). Siler Schneider chipped in 11.

Women

• No. 3 Notre Dame 83, No. 22 Michigan 63 — At Ann Arbor, Mich.: Arike Ogunbowale scored 20 of her 32 points in the first half, and No. 3 Notre Dame remained undefeated with an 83-63 victory over No. 22 Michigan on Wednesday night.

• No. 6 Mississipp­i St. 94, LouisianaL­afayette 37 — At Jackson, Miss.: Teaira McCowan scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to lead Mississipp­i State over LouisianaL­afayette.

• No. 13 Florida St. 94, Iowa 93 — At Iowa City, Iowa: Shakayla Thomas scored 17 of her 31 points in the fourth quarter and Imani Wright added 26 points as No. 13 Florida State erased a 12point deficit in the final period to beat Iowa in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

• No. 15 Maryland 60, Virginia 59 — At Charlottes­ville, Va.: Kaila Charles scored Maryland’s final three points in the last 40 seconds to lift the Terrapins to a victory over Virginia.

• No. 16 Stanford 86, San Francisco 66 — At San Francisco: DiJonai Carrington and Alanna Smith scored 19 points apiece, Kiana Williams added a career-high 17 and Stanford made a school-record 11 3-pointers in the second half to pull away for a win over San Francisco.

The Cardinal (5-3) trailed 28-24 at the half as both teams shot less than 30 percent. For much of the second half, both teams shot better than 60 percent, with Stanford finishing at 59 (23 of 39) and the Dons dropping to 50 percent.

• No. 18 Texas A&M 82, Rice 76 — At College Station, Texas: Anriel Howard had a career-high 23 points and 13 rebounds, Danni Williams added 19 points, and Texas A&M beat Rice.

• No. 25 Villanova 62, Princeton 59 — At Princeton, N.J.: Alex Louin scored 16 points, Adrianna Hahn added 15 points, and Villanova held off Princeton.
