Florida State takes down No. 5 Florida

GAINESVILL­E, Fla. — Terance Mann scored 25 points, CJ Walker added 17 and Florida State upset No. 5 Florida 83-66 on Monday night to remain undefeated.

The Seminoles (7-0) also extended their winning streak against the Gators (5-2) to four, their longest in the 68-game history of the series.

• No. 23 Baylor 84, Sam Houston St. 56 — At Waco, Texas: Jo Lual-Acuil had 15 points and 11 rebounds, leading six players who scored in double figures for Baylor during a victory over Sam Houston State.

The Bears (6-2) lost their only two games last week to Top 25 opponents and slipped seven spots in the new poll released Monday.

• Saint Mary’s 70, Sacramento State 54 — At Moraga: Jock Landale set career highs with 37 points and 18 rebounds on Monday night and Saint Mary’s beat Sacramento State 70-54 for the Gaels’ second straight win.

Landale had 24 points and 12 rebounds and made 11 of 14 shots in the first half while Saint Mary’s (7-2) built a 32-19 lead. The Gaels held the Hornets to 7-of-25 (28 percent) shooting and had a 25-11 edge on the glass in the period. Landale finished the game 14 of 20 from the field and 9 of 10 from the foul line.

• No. 24 Michigan 86, Detroit Mercy 50 — At Detroit: Katelynn Flaherty scored 22 of her 26 points in the first half and No. 24 Michigan cruised by Detroit Mercy 86-50 on Monday night at Calihan Hall.
