GERRI THOMAS

Gerri Thomas passed away Friday December 1st, 2017 in her home surrounded and embraced by the her family. Gerri was born October 30, 1947 in Riverside, Ca.

She is survived by her husband Tom Thomas, daughter Rebecca Collins (Alonzo), and sons John (Jodi), Danny (Chantel) and Mark (Jaclyn), as well as 13 beautiful grandchildren that she adored.

This passionate, beautiful and wise woman was a loving and committed wife for 50 years, a fiercely devoted mother, mother-in-law & grandmother, a faithful friend to countless women of all ages, an influential and inspirational Bible teacher, ministry leader and mentor and above all a lover of our Lord Jesus!

Along with raising a beautiful family and being an exceptional mother, one of her proudest accomplishments was serving on staff for many years at Century Assembly Church as Women’s Ministries Director. She passionately spread the Gospel and brought the Bible to life through her teachings.

Gerri Thomas never wasted a moment when you were in her presence to encourage you, challenge you, speak a timely word over you and minister to you all while making you feel like you were the most important person around in that moment. Every encounter left you changed, challenged and wanting more of God.

She loved unconditionally, she loved the “unlovable”, and taught others how to also. She impacted so many of our lives and we are awed & inspired by the vast legacy she has left through her large and amazing family, her friends and their families and the countless people who she has taught, mentored and influenced in her seven decades on this earth.

Please join us Sunday Dec. 17th at 2:00 p.m. as we celebrate Gerri’s life at Remedy Church located in the Church of God 7th Day at 2100 Tienda Dr, Lodi, CA.

One of her greatest burdens were for single mothers and their children.
